ATS Contingency plan
In accordance with ICAO Annex 11 – Air Traffic Services, a State needs to develop and implement a national air traffic management contingency plan with the objective to ensure the continued safety and supply of air navigation services in the event of partially or total disruption of air traffic services (ATS).
This South African Contingency Plan has been developed in coordination with the South African airspace management stakeholders and with the close co-operation and collaboration with IATA and the civil aviation authorities and air navigation service providers (ANSPs) responsible for the adjacent FIRs.
