NOTICE TO WIND FARM DEVELOPERS
Please submit a completed application form for all new or revised onshore and offshore wind farm plans. The purpose of this form is to standardise the information provided and to expedite the assessment of your proposed wind farm development. Assessment is made against aviation safety ( Part 139.01.30 of the Civil Aviation Regulations, 2011 to the CIVIL AVIATION ACT, 2009 (ACT 13 OF 2009) and defence interests, through evaluation of the possible effects on air traffic systems, defence systems and low flying needs.

NOTICE TO PLANNING AUTHORITIES
This form has been compiled to assist in the processing and assessment of wind farm applications. It is important that copies of this form are forwarded to ATNS within the planning consultation process. This will help trace records of any earlier consultations, as well as provide them with the relevant information for their assessments.
WHAT TO DO WITH THIS FORM Please provide as much detail as possible. If the specific turbine and/or exact positions have yet to be established then fill in the likely turbine size (hub height, rotor diameter) and wind farm boundary points as a minimum. On completion forward copies to:

It is important that a copy of this form is retained for inclusion with subsequent planning applications at the same site. If no application has been made prior to a planning application, please include a completed form in your planning application.

1. Conditional approval will granted to an application meeting the criteria with regard to the protection of aviation Navigation, Communication ,Surveillance elements and operational requirements.
2. The conditional approval will be valid for a period of 5 years from the date of issue.
3. The ATNS will provide a final approval on receipt of “as built” detail and a statement of compliance to any specified conditions.
